Currently, we’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in supporting end-to-end testing for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A QUALITY ENGINEER AT TRUNDL

  • Defining, designing, and creating test strategy for various configuration and development items, based on business &functional requirements and client specifications
  • Utilizing the latest test execution methods to execute manual and automated test cases
  • Defining defect tracking/management strategy and use JIRA to execute it
  • Understanding backend infrastructure and design
  • Troubleshooting issues experienced during testing
  • Providing daily and weekly status reporting by utilizing test suits-based reporting
  • Working with strong attention to detail to be able to accomplish a wide variety of task
  • Following established client processes and procedures for reporting and testing
  • Applying the understanding of JIRA for test case management, creation, and execution
  • Applying the understanding of various test management suits used across clients and adopt them to successfully design, develop and execute tests
  • Following established client processes and procedures for reporting and testing
  • Archiving all test documentation as directed

ABOUT YOU:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in manual or automated testing
  • A degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Computer Science / IT
  • Experience in using CI/CD for automated test case executions at various levels.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite of software products, including JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo/Jenkins, Bitbucket/GIT, Fisheye, Crucible.
  • Other items of expertise should include: AWS, Linux operation system, and Crowd/SAML 2.0 integration with Atlassian products
  • Experience with client-server systems and understanding the types of issues that may arise

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems quickly and creatively
  • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and client to meet project deadlines and milestones
  • Understanding of common Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall
  • Adapt easily to shifting priorities, process changes, and/or schedule changes
  • Understanding of Atlassian add-ons such Xray, Zephyre, EazyBI, and Scriptrunner is a plus!
