Sr. Atlassian System Engineer

We’re seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail oriented Atlassian System Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible to handle various needs for our clients’ Atlassian instances, with a particular focus on Jira Software in Agile environments. You would help provide ongoing support, customization efforts and other value-driven, collaborative engagements.

Meaningful Work You’ll be Part of

What You Will Do

  • Act as the “go to” expert on all things Atlassian.
  • Plan and execute upgrades to Atlassian Data Center software.
  • Design, develop, configure, test, and implement integrations between Atlassian software and external applications.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Atlassian, providing analysis of complex use cases and delivering comprehensive solutions.
  • Mentor and assist others with your knowledge of Atlassian.
  • Serving as an escalation point for junior engineers troubleshooting incidents related to the Atlassian suite.

What You Will Bring

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with at least one of the following Atlassian products: Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Bamboo.
  • Hands on experience working with the Data Center (formerly Server) version of one of the above Atlassian products.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure basics including application server and database setup.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating system.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple projects and clients.
  • Ability to work independently on complex problems.
  • US citizenship required for working with Department of Defense customers.

What Could Differentiate You

  • Holding at least one active Atlassian certification, e.g., ACP-610.
  • Experience working on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience working in a consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and at least one associated methodology such as Scrum.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket.
  • Passion and ability to invent and create new Atlassian configurations/solutions to solve customer challenges.
  • High proclivity for customer service, proactive communication, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and thrive with ambiguous requirements and projects.
  • Ability and willingness to go above and beyond your comfort zone.
  • Existing Security clearance a plus
